Anne was in the first female graduating class at West Point, and retiring from the Army in 2011 after 35 years of service.  Her notable assignments include the Deputy Director of Operations, Military Command Center, JSC; Deputy Commanding General, 7th Infantry Division, Fort Carson and later Division West, First Army; Chief of Staff, United States Army Reserve Command, and Deputy Commanding General for Police Development, NATO Training Mission—Afghanistan, Operation Enduring Freedom.  She served as an Army rotary wing aviator and has commanded aviation units at the company, battalion and brigade levels.

Anne was recognized in Profiles in Diversity Journal’s 5th Annual List of Women Worth Watching and was featured in Atlanta Woman’s Magazine for her service in the U.S. Military.

She holds two masters degrees; one in Systems Management from the University of Southern California and the other in Strategic Studies from the US Air War College, Montgomery, Alabama.

Post military, Anne has served as a senior advisor for a non-profit organization and as a consultant in the private sector.  She resides in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband, John, a USMA Class of 1979. She and John were the first married General Officers in the Department of Defense.
